CONTACT US
CONSULTATION
It starts with a free, initial consultation.
If you are a design professional, decorator, stylist, architect, general contractor, etc., simply go to the Design Professional Page to get in touch with us and start a dialog about your specific project.
With regards to residential customers, please review examples of our work and examine our resume. Once you have made your evaluation, we feel it's important for you to consider that we are not a licensed design firm. Therefore, since we can't charge fees for design consultation, we recommend that you contract your own design professional.
However, if budget constraints do not allow for the hiring of a designer, then sharing something concrete that specifically illustrates your vision, perhaps a photograph of something you've seen in another home, on the web, in a magazine or publication, etc., can be used as a starting point for our journey. Or, perhaps you have been inspired by something you see on our own website? As they say, picture is worth a thousand words!
Whatever it is, once we examine the space, and when we have an idea of what your wishes are, we can give you a preliminary estimate.
SAMPLE PROCESS
After receiving the preliminary estimate, we will require a non-refundable deposit to begin the custom sample process in the studio.
Coda Del Pavone can confidently assure each client that, through a mixture of experimentation, inspiration, "forensic analysis", common sense and the many years of our team's combined experience, we will quickly be able to manifest your vision in something tangible - a conceptual sample.
Depending on the scope of the project, the sample(s) will be between 2'x2' to 4'x4' in size, and will be rendered on a similar texture as the surface it is intended to be applied.
Once the designer, client and we are in agreement, we will deliver a final estimate/proposal and schedule the work to commence.
THE WORK
The final estimate is based on a number of factors, including the amount of steps included in the determined finish formula (or recipe), the amount of square footage, the surface on which the finish is to be rendered (smooth, rough, wall, ceiling, floor, etc), and so on.
Every decorative finish is comprised of an over-lapping series of steps, whether it is the elegant decay of layers of paint and plaster on an "Old Havana" wall finish, the cracked and weathered ruggedness of a straw and mud adobe plaster, or the faded patina of milk painted cabinets in a French country farmhouse kitchen. Whatever the finish you desire, it is usually created by the addition and subtraction of decorative materials on a surface, applying paint or glaze or plaster, then removing a portion of it to reveal what is beneath, then adding another material, and so on...until the finish is complete. Coda Del Pavone is a licensed, bonded company that will take you from initial conception to final manifestation, every step of the way to your total satisfaction.
FOLLOW UP
As stated before, your custom decorative finish follows a precise formula, and this will be recorded in our customer database for any future touch-up required as a result of any damage. Also, we can leave you, the client with any and all left-over materials, if you wish. With regards to exterior finishes such as faux wood garage doors or entry doors, etc., depending on the degree of UV/sun exposure they will receive, we will put you on the requisite maintenance schedule so you can enjoy your custom finishes for years to come.
